Who we are

IP Liaisons was founded on the fundamental principles of providing intellectual property (IP) paralegal support services with integrity.  We work with attorneys, patent agents, law firms and corporations providing support in prosecuting their patent, trademark and copyright matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and patent offices throughout the world.  We strive to stay on top of the ever changing rules and procedures in the prosecution process worldwide.

Our experienced paralegals are competent in the comprehensive process of obtaining and maintaining intellectual property  and are ready to move you forward anywhere in the prosecution process.  We provide the highest standard of service in research, document review and document preparation necessary for managing your IP portfolio.  Such services include, but are not limited to:

  • manage and monitor IP dockets;

  • prepare, draft and format documents necessary for filing US, international and foreign applications;

  • maintain validity of both pending applications and issued matters;

  • review communications issued by the USPTO, WIPO and various Patent Office authorities and from foreign associates relating to the progression of IP matters;

  • review, prepare and process legal documents in obtaining signatures, notarization, apostille and/or legalization as required by foreign authorities;

  • draft correspondence and/or status reports providing the status updates of their IP matters;

  • prepare documents necessary for responding to various communications issued by the USPTO, WIPO and various Patent Office authorities;

  • maintain and organize physical and electronic files in file management systems to ensure appropriate documents are readily available and easily accessible for review;

  • conduct information disclosure review for disclosing prior art in related patent matters;

  • assist with long-term and short-term projects;

  • training.

The paralegals of IP Liaisons are not attorneys and do not provide or solicit legal advice or opinions.  IP Liaisons paralegals use professional discretion and judgment commensurate with knowledge and experience rendering our services, though, not in place of an attorney.
